An Age-Friendly community provides social opportunities that include and recognize all citizens and especially seniors so they can continue to contribute to and benefit from community life. Examples include: opportunities for intergenerational activities and events, networking with friends, promoting the positive qualities of aging, reducing ageism and an increased sense of security with reduction in crime and vandalism.
